BET and the NAACP place the health and safety of attendees, staff, vendors, and partners first. Due to the ever-changing developments with COVID-19 and variants, the powerful night in Black excellence will continue to move forward without an in-person audience in a not-to-be-missed event.

Voting is open to the public and closes on February 5, 2022.  Winners will be announced during the 2 hour live special hosted by Anthony Anderson on Saturday, Feb. 26th at 8PM ET on BET.

If you're a subscriber of the When We Speak TV Youtube channel, you know that a few months back we shared that the Janet Jackson documentary was coming to Lifetime and A&E, in January 2022. We have been patiently aiting and now we have a date.......it's January 28, 2022 at 8/7c.  

As well, Lifetime and A&E has shared a new trailer for this television event, highlighting some celebrities that we didn't know were in the documentary.  In adddition to Mariah Carey, Missy Elliott, and Paula Abdul, that we knew about, the trailer also includes interview segments with Jermaine Dupri, Janelle Monae, Samuel L Jackson, Teyana Taylor, Tyler Perry, Katherine Jackson, Whoopi Goldberg, Regina King, Ciara, and more.
