#MerryChristmas from #WhenWeSpeakTV

Ever since I left home, the holidays have not been a big deal to me but this year I decided to check out the Atlanta Christmas Parade for the first time. Ironically, I was suprised how it got me excited for the holidays. As I watch the different floats go down the street, it reminded me of being younger screaming on the side of the street during my hometown's Christmas Parade.

As I watched the different bands go by it reminded me of the times I marched in the band in the parades.
I can even remember that sometimes my uncle would ride his horse in the parade.

His horse was so wild and ironically he was named Holiday!
Everyone in my family (except me) has had some type of accident with Holiday.  One time my cousin was sitting on the horse and the horse ran off with him.  My uncle went running behind the horse and tried to get my cousin to jump off, but before he could jump, the clothes line caught my cousin around the neck and threw him off the horse.  Needless to say, my cousin was ok.. I can't remember how old he was but he couldn't have been no more than about six or seven.
Wow, the memories that just a simple parade can bring!  I never knew something as simple as a parade would bring Christmas excitement to this "Scrooge"! I want to take a moment to wish you and your family the happiest, merriest Christmas you've ever had!
